Is Item Upgrade Really As Vital As Everyone Says?

Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements that are applied.

For instance, the top racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item and any wasted resources aren't rewarded.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or bought at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of the equipment that could include increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.

Players can roll their equipment in three attributes three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available in three categories: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to make it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action areas, remains on the space until the next Success is being rerolled. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of every Preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grasping them. When they are opened, they show an explanation and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

In the course of the course of a game, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to chosen Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls, and those that are in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost an item's level by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. They are also available to players who sign daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players first need to locate the appropriate item and then click the "level up" button. This will display a menu showing the item's current level and what it will be when being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has met the requirements, they can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the longevity of the item. This is an excellent choice for those who want to get an edge in battle but don't want burden their wallets. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto the new gear.

For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to obtain these stones, such as completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. In addition, players can take apart the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. It is accomplished by the combination of an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade components and grant the item a higher level, granting the item a boost in that area. The process will continue until the item reaches its highest level.

Items with upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be applied to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component will require the purchase of a certain amount of items as well as a certain equipment level.

The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left one is where players can place a piece of equipment that they wish to upgrade, and the right shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after a player has sufficient materials will begin the upgrade process.

A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

When an item reaches its maximum level, its upgrades will no longer be available for it. When an item is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, except for glyphs that can be removed and replaced freely.

Requirements

Items upgrades enable players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will differ based on the type of item however, you'll usually require Dilithium along with the number of Upgrade Tokens.

The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment sets and weapons for extra effects or a higher item level. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, such as crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an item, it can't be removed and substituted without restriction, however the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped without restriction.

Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that could further improve the item's stats.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The dps "Wildfire" however increases damage from weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get a perfect roll. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements.  item upgrading  include the item type (either Armor or Weapon) the tier of the item as well as the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.

The game will add an item in your inventory after you have fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how close you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
